With the default (or "HARD") resetType I am assuming that if a field does not have a reset value the field will not be affected by a reset, same as if mask = 0.

Is that true? Is it the same for other resetTypes (such as "SOFT"), or would they fall back to the "HARD" reset value if they don't have a specified value?

Hi Mats,
No, your assumption is wrong. If a field does not have a reset value then it means that it is not documented. You cannot assume it is not affected by a reset. This applies for all reset types.

So all fields should have reset values specified for all resetTypes, unless you want things to be undocumented.
